Medium: Paper, Newspaper, Plastic sheets, CD, Marker
Idea: Mixed Media, grunge style art piece reflecting grunge artist David Carson’s work.
Process: I created a mixed-media art piece with inspiration from grunge artist, David Carson. Using various mediums and textures, from paints to paper and even a CD, I created an exquisite art piece, further divulging into the true grunge and mixed media art style. I dedicated hours to the project, perfecting every minute detail.

Maul Of The Dead

Idea: A Beckman Theatre Poster for the play, Maul Of The Dead portraying an 80’s themed mall taken over by zombies.
Process: I created 80’s themed color schemes of blue, purple, pink and green and neon-like text.

The Unexpected

Idea: An informative piece that tells the story of the journey my parents took immigrating from Vietnam to America
Process: Using woodblock stamps of the culture of Vietnam, I created an informative poster that depicted the story of my parents immigration journey. I used traditional colors of red and black to portray a modern piece that highlights Vietnamese culture.

Size: 11" x 17"
Medium: Woodblock, Adobe Illustrator, Laser Cutter
Idea: A woodblock representation of the various cultural aspects of Vietnamese culture through the traditional Japanese art technique of print blocking.
Process: Highlighting the different parts of my Vietnamese culture, I created 4 individual woodblock pieces to represent the culture and the journey my parents took to America. From this I laser cut and wood block stamped each onto card-stock paper.
